These are attractively laid out with plenty of ideas for transparencies and activities for trainers. They are all currently in print and available in Easons, Hodges Figgis and Waterstones. They are well illustrated with coloured pictures and diagrams and are aimed at trainers (very easy to convert into Power Point presentations) and managers:
There is a well-known series of books called 'The Games Trainers Play' available in academic bookshops.
Train the Trainers
This is a four day
course aimed at providing managers and first line supervision with the
underpinning knowledge and skills required to train their employees.
The course is conducted using video self-performance, graphics, self-analysis

Audios There is a huge selection of audios available covering all aspects of business, personal development and training. Audios are inexpensive and prices start at about £11. A good library of audios would be a great service to trainers. A database of audios available should be posted on the internet. Audios are priced between £11 and £18. The following audios (all of which are good quality audiocassettes programmes and can be recommended) can be ordered through the major bookshops in Dublin, are aimed at people interested in self-development. They are priced between £12 and £20:
Videos There are a good variety of suppliers who produce high quality videos aimed at training and development specialists, supervisory, management and professional people. There is also a wide range of videos on information technology, health and safety and other technical subjects. A list of these should be posted on the internet for members of the Network. A selection of videos were identified giving title, supplier and price. Video training packs range in price from £200 to £1000. Workbooks, participant handouts and trainer guides accompany many videotape programmes. Video programmes are particularly suitable for language training and there is a wide range of these available.
