Colin Tierney is independent consultant working in organizational change in the UK. He has developed a "Learning/change model", which integrates learning into change and development; it reflects the impact of change on the individual, and vice versa. There are four phases in this model: I know, I own, I do, I am.The model can be used from the diagnostic phase of organizational change right through to implementation, or as a personal development tool. He has also designed a Teleworking Flowchart, listing five key competencies. Tierney has also placed a few stories on his site; he has used these in organizational change programmes to show how managers, developers and facilitators can increase their narration and communication skills.

CD Rom / DVD

There has been an explosion of subjects available on CD ROM in the last few years. CD ROM provides access to very large information banks, with text, colour, graphics, animation, including video footage and sound.

For example, the complete Encyclopaedia Britannica comes on two CD ROM discs for a cost of around £100. DVD is an acronym for Digital Versatile Disk. DVD is expected to replace CD ROM in the next few years because of its superior storage capacity with up to 25 times that of an equivalent CD ROM disc.

The top CD ROM training programmes were identified giving title, supplier and price. The following are some CD ROM packages available at the IOL Company in Sandyford Industrial Estate:
